RUN RABBIT RUN...Chasing you is so much fun!

Seven years have passed since novelist Beth Rider escaped the clutches of Jack Dawn and his ilk.

She and Michael Stone find that the war rages on as a Rakum remnant begins to rebuild under the thumb of a tyrannical and unbalanced Elder. Determined to destroy everything Beth stands for, Elder Rufus initiates a deadly plan to draw her and her allies into his trap. With the aid of a disaffected Elder named Canaan and a mysterious, legendary Rakum youth known as The Last, the ‘Rabbit Army’ will confront the demonic forces behind those who threaten their freedom and their very lives.

RABBIT LEGACY is the sequel to my bestselling debut novel, RABBIT: CHASING BETH RIDER. It is first appearing on "nook" by Barnes & Noble (this listing), but will soon be in print from TreasureLine Publishing, November 15th. I hope you'll check it out!

“Oh where do I begin? I love the concept. Redemption for abomination; really gives hope to mere mortals and all of our petty sins. Amazingly written. I have read thousands of books, in many genres including romance, horror, religious fiction, paranormal fiction, mystery...well if you name I've read it. This is a something totally new to me, and that is saying something.” ~ Ams Lantz, Voracious Reader

Rabbit: Legacy is an excellent sequel to Ellen C. Maze’s novel Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider. Seven years have passed since bestselling author Beth Rider turned the Rakum world upside down by bringing the word of God into their realm. Many Rakum are now converted and have become human in the process, but a remnant, led by the deranged Rufus, remains, determined to restore the Rakum to their previous state of supremacy.

Most of the cast from the first book return and the stage is set for a showdown between Good and Evil, God and Satan.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second installment of the Rabbit series. Ellen Maze keeps the reader on edge as the plot twists and turns to its exciting conclusion. The story ends as a bit of a cliffhanger as the fate of several characters remains in doubt. I look forward to the third chapter in this series. I hav never been a fan of the vampire genre, but The Rabbit series has made me a fan of Ellen C. Maze. Her writing conveys a powerful Christian message, a bit surprising for a vampire novel, but certainly welcome.

If you weren’t quite convinced by my book review of “Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider“, I hope this blogpost will confirm that this series is worth the investment. The mythos of Ellen’s vampire world is crazy elaborate and believable, and you just want to jump right in (except, not literally. That might be a little too much.) Ellen Maze was kind enough to send me the 2nd book of the series, “Rabbit Legacy” and I am so psyched about this story now. I’ve already told Ellen she needs to hurry with the final installment so she is ON IT!

The crazy Christian vampire saga continues. The aftermath of wraiths turning to the Lord and transforming into humans. It’s not exactly a piece of cake to lose all that power and trust in God. And then there’s the remaining wraiths that denied God’s call, plus Isaac The Last and the demon Ta’avah, all ready to wreak havoc on these new believers.

And once again, Ellen gave the best book ending, which includes both a sigh of relief and a “Wait, but what’s next?! There’s still heaps of big danger right THERE!!!!” *frantically pointing every which way* And here’s why I’m sitting here twiddling my thumbs, wanting to leap into the story world and figure out what’s going on.

(Conspiracy theory: What if Beth Rider is REAL just like her books are real, and the last book isn’t out yet cause gulp Isaac and Ta’avah are still declaring war on this real-world earth and poor Javie and Canaan are still in danger and gulp gulp, I can’t even. Hurry up, Ellen!)

Here is another fantastic book SO worthy of 5 stars from Ellen C. Maze.

This is the sequel to the amazing "Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider".

Synopsis ~ Seven years have passed since novelist Beth Rider escaped the clutches of Jack Dawn and his ilk. She and Michael Stone find that the war rages on as a Rakum remnant begins to rebuild under the thumb of a tyrannical and unbalanced Elder. Determined to destroy everything Beth stands for, Elder Rufus initiates a deadly plan to draw her and her allies into his trap. With the aid of a disaffected Elder named Canaan and a mysterious, legendary Rakum youth known as "The Last", the "Rabbit Army" will confront the demonic forces behind those who threaten their freedom and their very lives. In the battle between good and evil, the gray area expands as Beth longs to bring an end to the Rabbit Legacy.

Ellen has a wonderful gift, her characters and their world capture you and don't let you go until you have finished that last page.

I'm looking forward to reading the final installment of "The Rabbit Trilogy"

At first I was a little conflicted about reading this book. A part of me felt the first novel ("Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider"Rabbit: Chasing Beth Rider) was such a great story that ended so perfectly that it didn't need a sequel. Then there was the other part of me that felt Ellen created such great characters that I would love to spend another adventure with them. With that said I have to admit that I am SSSSOOOOOO glad I read this sequel. Not only was it great catching up with Beth, Michael and the others but the story line was so amazing I never wanted it to end. From page one you are drawn into the world that Ellen so creatively made and you are taken on a ride that is both satisfying and amazed. Rabbit Legacy is a must read especially if you loved the first one. Thank you Ellen for bringing back these well loved characters back for another adventure and please keep them coming.

"Rabbit Legacy' continues the story of Beth and Michael Stone as they create a life after the battle with the Rakum at the end of book 1. Seven years later, they think they are finally free; however, they soon learn that a new battle is forming with rakum that didn't want to be free of their dark, evil life.
Maze gives us a deeper look inside the life of the rakum and how they think and behave.

If you are a fan of vampire/horror stories, Maze doesn't disappoint. Her Christian angle gives the story redemption and shows us that confronting the evil in our life is both necessary and 'winnable' with the help of God and His grace, mercy and love.
