An easy, light read that was very enjoyable. I laughed and learned a few things.

This is an absolute treasure of a book! If you're interested in learning some of the things we "Enlish" don't know or understand about the Amish, then this is the book for you. Done in a fiction style of writing, the author takes you from birth to death in the daily life of an average Amish fellow. I caught myself laughing out loud at some of the humor that the author shares. A few illustrations, but mostly the book is done in wonderful chapters that cover the simple things that make these people so wonderful. I love how the author shows us not just the good side of his people, but also the dark side too which you never see or hear about at the touristy places. A great read!
