This book is a welcome edition to any new student midwives bookshelf. It contains detailed descriptions of 'skills for midwifery practice'. It will be of limited use beyond the first year of the course, but will increase a students confidence when they attempt a new skill or while they work towards achieveing competance in a new skill. It has plenty of references to back up the rationale behind each skill, so is useful with reflective practice.

Awesome couldn't do without it

I think the best midwifery text book. Explains all the important features and why it's so important with research. Excellent read. Top midwifery book I've read so far.
