Making Silver Chains: Simple Techniques, Beautiful Designs

Rate this book
Beginners can start with a simple trace design. Switch from round to square wire, adapt the chain to a pendant, or use small oval links for a sophisticated look. Transform trace chains into flat-lying curb chains by twisting each link. Or, try distinctively round loop-in-loop pieces. This range of chains really sparkles and shines. “Highly recommended.”— Library Journal.

Good review of some nice chains. Making chains seems like it would be so simple--WRONG :D It takes a lot of work (and math!) to make a nice chain, and I confess, I will never get the urge to make a curb chain...do not have the patience..

I was searching for a book on making chains and wasn't disappointed when I found this one. I gave it 4 stars because I haven't ventured into this area of jewelry making yet.

The title says it all. You are literally making your own chain.
