The author of this book is one of the greatest writers of all time. He allows us to see things that are unseeable and learn things that are unlearnable. He is a living legend among men. Rodney P. Anderson is the most interesting man in the world and everyone should be blessed to have his book.

This book is so creative using our basic ABC's to help tell us about microbes. I love how the images look like they burst from the pages. That is my favorite part about the book. It's easy to help kindergartners learn their ABC's with interesting facts like: chocolate is made from microbes and are the reason why termites are such a pest. There is so many interesting facts that you read, that you would want to read the book over and over again. You could use this for grades K-3. I think this would be a good journaling opportunity to see how many details a student could remember from their readings. It's just such a neat book. I believe a lot of students, adults, and teachers would enjoy reading this book.

Author: Rodney P. Anderson
Publisher: ASM Press
Genre: Picture Book – Alphabets
Summary: An alphabet book with facts about microorganisms. The book also includes a glossary at the end.
Response: This book would not be for students learning the alphabet as there are a lot of advance words. Instead I think this book should be used for those researching about microorganisms.
Theme/Concept/Connection: ABCs, Biology, Microorganisms

This is such an educational book that I think is a great example of thematic units! I think it would be so cool to go through the whole book with a mini lesson on each letter to talk about microscopic beings and science.
