Fallen Star Trouble

Rate this book
Even a supernova can shine again. A chance meeting between chart-topping pop star Brady and rebellious Cara--out to sow her wild oats--leads to one unforgettable night in Las Vegas. The next day, Cara runs home to family responsibility, unaware of Brady's search for her and his slip into a steep downward spiral. Life leaves them no choice but to pick up the pieces and move on...until they meet again, nine years later. Cara's engaged, ready to settle into a quiet and normal life. Having Brady re-enter the scene doesn't figure into her big picture. But Brady's finally found what he needs to re-ignite his music career, and he's not about to leave it behind. He'll have to show Cara, with her help, even a supernova can shine again. Content warning; snoopy small-towners, pestilent paparazzi, meddling relatives, second chances, and one hot rockstar.

Lena’s Review

Brady is a pop star going places, but everything happens for a reason. His reason was a woman that blew into his life like a hurricane and like a shooting star disappeared from his life. Brady has never forgotten about his Cara. Somehow in one night she gave him what he has been missing in his life, love. He knows it can’t be possible but seeing her again in his life is like a second chance for him. He's been a singer, trying to make things right but knows the only right thing in his life is Cara. One night in Vegas is all she gave him, but he knows the love and passion he felt for her is still between them. Can he convince Cara that even a has-been singer like him can change his life with the right woman?

Three words describe Cara which is loyal, responsible, and obedient. She has never done anything to shame her family or at least that they know of. No, for one night Cara let loose and gave her heart to a singer. Not just any singer, but one she thought would never leave her again. She thought Bradley was different but like every other he just wanted sex and groups of women. Yet somehow he got into her skin and now years later she still remembers the love she had for him. Engaged, she knows her fiancé is the good guy but she can’t help remember Brady and his passionate kisses. Can she continue on the engagement when her heart is already with someone else?

Autumn Piper has done it again in this enchanting tale of love with a rock star and at second chances. Brady is not like your usual pop star but a man trying to make people listen to his songs. I loved that here’s a guy who has never had love in his life but with Cara he had more than love and wants it again. Now Cara is definitely a woman that needs a little fun in her life, especially when it’s a man like Brady. Together these two were great, yet apart from one another they are both looking for their lost love. Great job, Autumn!

I stayed up late reading this one, so be warned. You may be arriving to work in the morning red-eyed with a need for intravenous coffee. Couldn’t put this book down. Brady is Cara’s only night of adventure from the past, and he’s never forgotten her. Nine years later he arrives in her hometown of Nowhere, Utah and shakes up her life again. She’s engaged to a “good guy”, a staid, church-going fit-in type, and ready to settle down, set the date finally. But Brady finds her there, and this time he’s not letting her go. Which makes for all kinds of trouble.
This contemporary romance has it all, especially humor, and some of the best characters I’ve ever read. Ms. Denna had me laughing out loud one minute and wanting to cry the next. And the romance is hot! Readers of her other stand-alone books in the Trouble series, Lone Star Trouble and Trouble Under Venus will love this one too. New readers, this is a great one to start with, but then go back and read the others. They’re wonderful, and each is totally unique.

I started this book and did not want to put it down . I found this to be a very profound story and one that could happen ! This is Cara and Brady’s story and how they meet again nine years after they first met and what has happened since their one night stand back then. Brady looked for her back then and could not find her ,he lost the will to go on with his music but he is now trying for a come back, he is at a school talking about substance abuse when he sees Cara again. Will they get a second chance? I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Cara Carter had to leave school after just one semester to go home and take care of her siblings. On her way she stopped in Las Vegas to sow some wild oats. She met rock star, Brady, and spent the night with him. After overhearing Brady's crew talk about all his women, etc. Cara left without a word. Brady was devastated and tried to find her but with no luck. Cara went home to her boring small town life, worked with flowers at her uncle's store and got engaged. Brady went into a tail spin and stopped performing.

Nine years later Cara ran into Brady when he was giving a talk about substance abuse at her sister's school. They still felt a strong attraction to each other and Brady was determined to not let Cara get away again so, to keep her around, he hired her to design the cover for his new album. After many years of not performing he had written new material he was promoting himself.

I loved this story! The writing was fantastic and the characters! The characters were wonderfully written. I really liked Brady. He was a kind person and very sensitive. It was easy to see the strong feelings he had for Cara. Cara was a caring woman, always helping others but never going after what she wanted or even thinking about what she wanted. They seemed like an odd match with Brady being so outgoing on stage and Cara so comfortable to stay in the shadows. I especially liked that it wasn't a typical rock star story with groupies and drugs all the time. The beginning of the book did start with Brady being a rock star but then it jumped to 9 years later where most of the story takes place.

I'm so glad I got the opportunity of reading and reviewing this fabulous book and highly recommend it.

Couldn't put it down till the end!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed the storyline here. It was refreshing, easy to follow, sexy and funny. I liked the characters development and how they flowed so well with each other. The only place I was disappointed in was at the end with Skip. I would have liked to have seen more of a personal closure. I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions with Bruce and Larry. They really lightened up the mood of the chapters. And of course there's Cars and Brady, who are just amazing together!
Ms. Piper did an awesome job in creating this wonderful book. Autumn, Mahalo (thank you) for taking your time with your wonderful gift and sharing it with us.

I really loved this book! I hadn't read any previous books in the series and read this one out of order, because I was given a copy for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. Now, I am definitely going back to read those previous books and looking at whatever else this author has written. The story was great and fun and unique. I really felt for them and wanted them to be together. There was enough angst to keep me wondering and enough loveliness to keep me happy. Highly recommend!
