Both Vincent and Carlee's characters were etched very well. The ambulance ride and the calls were all narrated so well that it felt like living the moments with the characters. The way how an ambulance call gave Vincent a chance to right his wrongs was amazingly brought out. Enjoyed it.

I grew to love both mc's the further I read. I wondered when it seemed that the 2 mc's seemed to hate each other because they hadn't talked for years. Before I knew it, I was rooting for Carlee and Vincent like they were my friends. They became real. But the parts about the calls they ran on with the ambulance were amazing as well. Not overloaded with jargon, it was like you were watching actual medical calls. I could read a book on the adventures the two of them could take on different calls. It was interesting and exciting.

I only write reviews for 4-5 star books, and this one is deserving of 5 stars. Interesting, well written, and with characters that become real as you read. An Author worth following and I will not hesitate to buy the rest of this series.
