Rate this book
This book guides the researchers in the field of benchmarking. A detailed theory about three benchmarking tools namely, Capacity Utilization (CU), Technical Efficiency (TE) and Total Factor Productivity (TFP) growth has been discussed along with the applications of these techniques to assess the performance of Indian Sugar industry. The advance econometric technique of bootstrapping has also been utilized to attain bias-corrected efficiency scores and check the statistical significance of TFP growth. An application of Panel-data econometric modelling is additional feature of this book. In its 'Appendix on Computer Programming', a complete guide has been given for the readers to calculate and bootstrap CU, TE, and TFP growth using GAMS and FEAR softwares. Thus, the book is a complete package of the theory of advance mathematical and econometric techniques, and their applications in research using advance computer softwares.
