Although this book was written in 1999, it offers great insights into the beautiful diversity of Hispanics throughout the Western Hemisphere. It offers me a greater insight into encountering our brothers and sisters as not “being objects of the church’s ministry,” but instead as “participants in the church’s ministry.” This volume is encouraging me to dig deeper into the USCCB’s Pastoral Plan for Hispanic Ministry. Further, it has offered me a wider vision of encountering all ethnicities in the Church.
