Read the Malachi section as I preached through the book. I think the authors have done a great job combining a linguistic analysis of the text with an analysis of the language the authors are borrowing from other OT scriptures. There are some scattered devotional insights, which fit the aim of the NAC series. With that, I would conclude that this volume comes across a little more technical than other NAC volumes. I only have to critiques. First, the amount of cross-referencing was a bit overwhelming at times and required some scanning to find the references that were most relevant for exegesis. Second, the author’s interpretation of the Levitical priest in chapter 2 included discussion of stuff in the Millennium, which is a very niche and unpersuasive interpretation to this pastor.
