It happened almost by accident but by the end of the show I knew that storytelling was my next step in life.
The joy of that moment, the delight in sharing these treasures, the pleasure of deepening my own experience of the tales each time I tell them, has never left me since then and I’m sure it never will.
Since leaving the UK in 2001 I have been based in Spain, performing all over the country, as well as in Portugal, Switzerland, Tunisia, Greece, Turkey, Colombia and India.
When I am not telling, I enjoy writing for both adults and children and have been lucky enough to publish several books.»

Raamat rääkis sellest, kuidas tüdruk nimega Amelia tahtis koera.
Amelia oli lihtsalt selline, kes ikka väga tahtis lemmiklooma.
Isa ütles muidugi igale pakutud loomale muudkui EI ja EI, aga äkki tuli küsimuseks, et võtta hoopis kutsikas ning see polnudki enam nii halb mõte.
Raamatu pildid olid kummalised. Raamat oli muidu hea.

A quick book suitable for smaller kids.
When Amelia wishes for a dog, but her dad refuses, as very common among all children, she won't give up just yet and keeps persisting. She has a goal and wants to achieve it. So she tries with other animals - an eagle, a horse, an elephant and finally asks for a whale. The scale of these creatures keeps getting bigger and that does the trick. Eventually her dad becomes reasonable and sees for himself that a small puppy is really no trouble at all compared to a dinosaur, so he gives in.
The morale of the story - never give up when pursuing your dreams! Just be smart enough when choosing your tactics ;)

¡Me encanta leérselo a todo el mundo! Es muy simpática, tierna y con un giro final que saca risas a cualquiera que se lo leo por primera vez. Además, las ilustraciones son originales y atractivas. Cumple con su principal función, que es entretener, y está bien escrito. Este cuento lo tiene todo.
