My Princess Bible

Rate this book
My Princess Bible is based on the popular format of My Pajama Bible. The new board book combines princess-like art of women of the Bible with art more reflective of the modern-day princesses who will learn of biblical women.
My Princess Bible shares stories of 19 women of the Bible through a rhyming story and a short takeaway summary in prose. Each story ends with two lines that remind the reader of valuable character traits of a princess; the little princesses are even encouraged to recite the learning of the biblical princess using her name in the blank “________ is God’s special princess; ________ is sad when she does something bad” (the takeaway from the story of Eve). This format helps children see biblical women as princesses who teach us about godly principles. It also helps reinforce that the little girl reader is special and seen as a princess because she is created by God. The final story (number 20) is taken from Psalm 139 and features the reader as the godly princess. It reminds the reader that princesses are daughters of the King and are loved by God. Little girls will love to read My Princess Bible over and over to learn about God’s princesses.

This girls Bible is a compilation of 20 Bible stories that outline women of importance in the Bible. Each woman’s story is told and offers a lesson to little princesses on how a Biblical princess should act. These character traits are an important part of being a girl and are explained in the mindset of a young princess!

This Bible is specifically meant for little girls and is not a compressive look at the Bible. The stories include Eve, Miriam, Deborah, Esther, Anna, Jarius daughter and more. There are twenty total and each gives a lesson for your daughter or little girl to learn from. The lessons include things like, “A princess prays for people”, “A princess is kind and thoughtful”, “A princess loves her family” and “A princess takes care of God’s world”.

I enjoyed reading this with my daughters and they love their princess Bible! If you’re looking for a unique gift or book for a little girl this would be an excellent selection. I would not suggest this as the only Bible your daughter has due to the few stories it holds, however it does focus on women of the Bible, why they were important and what we can learn from them. I recommend it for girls’ ages 2-6 years of age as a Bible story book.

My little girl sure enjoys this bible book. I think it is wonderful that this has 20 story's of women that she can relate as princesses. That makes her stay more focused on this because she loves things about princesses. She really liked at the end of each short story that she was able to put her name in it at the end. She liked hearing her name at the end of the story and like that she was God's Special Princess.

My daughter is 2 and with this being a board book she is able to look threw the book on her own and see all the colorful pictures...She will be able to enjoy this book and learn to read from it. The words are easy to read and understand for a child. She will be able to enjoy this for a long time to come.

Thank you Goodreads first reads!!! Looking forward to reading and reviewing.

A good introduction to women from the Bible for small children. The board book is divided into chapters for each "princess" and her story and is intended for younger girls, age 2 to 6. The illustrations are excellent and the book is physically appealing to younger children but the actual stories are a little disappointing. I'd rather the book have focused more on the biblical story than how those "princesses" are like your "princess daughter". While that's a good idea I thought the comparisions they made were repetitive and a little weak and the fill-in-the-blank pages for you to add the name of your "princess" seems like a waste of space. Overall it's a solid and pretty intro book for young "princesses" and religious families.

02-28-11 Yay!!! I finally got my book in the mail. And it is so incredibly adorable that I wish I had my own daughter to read it to. I am sure my niece will appreciate the colorful illustrations and hearing about all of the different "princesses" in biblical times. I love that it incorporates the child's name into the story and instills values at the same time. Thank you, Goodreads!!!!

02-09-11 HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY COPY FROM TYNDALE PRESS. :( *tear.

12-15-10 I won this in a Goodreads giveaway and I am so excited. I think my niece will absolutely love it. I hope it gets here before Christmas!!!

I was looking for a different book with a similar purpose for my sister. This sounds like a good replacement!
