raw and real novel about Toni trying to survive the best she can in the hood I really enjoyed this book. It was just real and not some spoiled chick living hood rich either this was one character that was dealing with very real issues. I would recommend this for someone looking to get a break from the urban lit with so much brand name dropping and the materialistic aspect of it all.

In this book it reminded me of a ghetto cinderella story, it did however had somewhat of a happy ending, and as usual alot of inocent lives were lost over a petty drug war, but I was also happy to know at least one was able to make it out of the Ghetto, there was a character in this book by the name of Tec who I personally felt should have lost his life for all of the lives he destroyed.

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. I honestly have never heard of Erick Gray until i saw he have published a book with one of my favorite authors, K'Wan. I know about K'Wan work, but i did not know about Gray's work. So i saw that my local library had ghetto heaven and at first i thought... great another urban tale. Dude deals drugs, dude gets a hot chick, and they go ride or die. so i picked it up and read the synopsis and saw that this book was something different than what i am use to. And i can tell you, it was one of the best books i have read. I had read it three times within the time i had it at the library and i bought it over the internet. Great work. I believe that Erick Gray proven to us that we are never too old to believe in fairy tales.

This is the first book that I have read by Erick S. Gray. I picked it because the audio book was under Blackstone Productions and it was an audio book. I downloaded from Hoopla using my library card so it was absolutely free.

I enjoyed this book. Two friends Toni and Bonita both live in the hood/projects. They grew up together and mainly remained friends because of that. Bonita knows that it is more out in the world for her and wants to get out of the hood so bad. She works hard to make sure this happens. Toni the main Character doesn't really see that getting out of the hood is an option and is just trying to survive until she meets Matthew who is rich and is not familiar with the type of life Toni lives.

This book shows you that in the hood their can still be happy endings for those who deserve it and want to change. Those who don't well...you'll see what happens once your read or listen to Ghetto Heaven.

I want to know more...

I really didn't have high hopes for this book, but it turned out to be a decent read. I enjoyed that the chapters were short, it made the book go by faster. I feel the end was rushed I would have liked to know more about Matthew and Toni's future.

It was good but way too descriptive about the women’s body’s and I wasn’t a fan of the ending
