Note I feel my actual review of this book is 4.5 stars but we can’t do half stars on Goodreads so three stars it is since I wasn’t as crazy about this one as some of Tony Rosses other books I’ve been reading today.
So for this book, I think the illustrations are still really good and show off a great example of strong character design and shape language adding in stylization but the main reason I don’t like it as much as some of his other works, is I just think a lot of the characters here get a bit too shapely and wild at times, plus the plot isn’t as strong as some of his other works. Also I noticed here that he did have a couple pages where it felt he was intentionally drawing small and not filling up the whole space with illustrations.
That said I still think it’s a good book and me not liking it as much comes down to personal preference.
