This story is about a boy who's grandad dies and his making sense of the situation, this book would be useful in KS1 or lower KS2 to introduce the topic of death through a story in perhaps PSHE. It could also be used for individual children to read who have suffered a bereavement and are struggling to come to terms with it.

Tom comes home from school one day to hear his grandad has died. What worried Tom is if his Grandad knows he died. In case he doesn't Tom writes a letter to his grandad.

The subject of this book is death and how a parent might explain it to a child.
