Gérard de Nerval

Rate this book

A poorly written biography (like all by "Folio biographies") that surprisingly leaves out exactly those details that would give the book a more personal touch. Nerval's fascination for occultism, his shady suicide circumstances and the infamous story about the pet lobster are all omitted.

Besides, the writing style is obnoxious. Quite a pity for the great person and writer that was Nerval.
