I just learned Dave Church passed on behind the wheel of his broken-down cab on Thanksgiving (or at least that's what a coupla blogs say). He was in recent ART:MAGs and I gave HACK JOB a decent review, I think, though it's prone to some exaggerated wish-fulfillment via-literature, but full of his feisty spirit -- and he'll sure be missed by many in the small press game. We corresponded a bit and he said he was about to go on social security, would cut the driving down, and it seemed he was looking forward to it. Dave, there ain't no real justice, dude, but I think you knew that. So long down the long & riding road to eternity, hope you got a stacked young babe in the back who can't pay you except in great blow jobs, of course...
