Liked this ok. It was going along great and I just thought it wrapped up so fast at the end. I would have liked a little longer ending with more detail.

It’s so sad to see a series end, but this one was bittersweet by Sandy Sullivan. Through all the Wilder books, we saw a little of Jamie Wilder, and now her story is revealed. It broke my heart to see such a young girl sacrifice her own love for a man who has so much potential like Wyatt. These two were so in love, yet Jamie was courageous through everything. Little Samantha was a cute little nine year old doing what every little child with one parent does-matchmaking. You can tell right off that Jamie and Wyatt are still desperately in love. I loved seeing all her brothers gang up on Wyatt…poor guy. Sandy did a beautiful job in ending this series, but I hope there might be more of this series or her gorgeous cowboys. Awesome job once again, Sandy.
I was looking forward to the Wilder's little sister's story, and disappointed as I have mixed feelings on the story. Jamie and Wyatt were likeable and they certainly still had chemisty. It was nice to see them rekindle their love. I found Wyatt to be so sweet with his daughter, Sam. It warmed my heart when he called her "Pumpkin", as my dad called me that when I was a little girl. There were just too many things in the story that did not make sense or seem realistic. Examples: -I just did not buy Wyatt's reasonings for leaving the pregnant, teenage Jamie, especially when he claimed to love her so. Why would he give up on his unborn child, just because Jamie said she did not love him? I had to agree with Chase's feelings about Wyatt. - I found it very strange that Jamie's parents really did not say a thing when Wyatt shows up at their house after all these years. This is the man that got their daughter pregnant and left, so it would have only be normal to have at least expressed concern and have a stern talk with Wyatt. - Why did the author have a 9 year old girl telling her mother and I quote- "he wants to get you in the sack"? Really- That is just not appropriate or even realistic. Kids no matter their age, don't want to ever think about their parent's sex life, no less talk about it to them. -Another thing,in the 2nd book, Wild Rodeo Nights, a main part of the book revolved around Carrie's teenage sister getting pregnant by Cole's Rodeo friend. I never remember Cole mentioning to Carrie about his unwed sister's experience. On the plus side, it was nice to have all the Wilder's together at the end with their babies.
I purchased this book along with the entire series when I was at Romfest were I meet Sandy Sullivan and she singed all the copies for me. I give this book a rating of 5 stars. This was the last book in the series and was about Jamie the “baby” sister of Justin, Chase, and Cole. Being the “baby” and the only girl you can imagine how over protective the boys were of their sister. Especial when Jamie got pregnant at the age of 17 and her boyfriend skipped town when he found out.
Jump ahead 9 years. Sam, Jamie’s daughter, breaks her arm and ER Dr. is Wyatt. Who Jamie hasn’t seen in 9 years the same night she told him she was pregnant, that she didn’t love him, and to leave. Jamie and Wyatt decide to tell Sam the truth about Wyatt when big brother Chase opens his big mouth and does it for them. Sam is on a mission to get them back together. Jamie and Wyatt decide to try and give dating a try to see if they can make things work between them. Neither Jamie nor Wyatt wants to admit that they love the other one. Wyatt is worried about Jamie she keeps getting headaches and passing out but will not go see the doctor. Will they be able to admit their love and become a family before it is too late?
I was not able to put this one down after I picked it up. I loved Jamie from the beginning and Wyatt was awesome. This book did hit close to home for me and I did cry, but it was a great book.
This fourth Wilder Series novel is a testimony to the damage that miscommunication can do to relationships, as well as the hurt that comes when partners refuse to fully share their goals and dreams as well as their responsibilities. Jamie Wilder is a single parent with a nine-year-old daughter, the child of the love of her life who she drove away believing that her pregnancy and marriage to her would ruin the dreams and goals of her lover, a man who was just beginning his education as a medical doctor. Lo and behold, he shows up at the emergency room of a Laramie hospital and there he sees his daughter for the first time--he not only hadn't ever seen her, he didn't even know she existed. This story is full of old angers and hurts, custody discussions, hot loving, and unrequited romance. Yet as in all Sullivan books, there is the underlying reality of a family support system, loving and caring that surrounds Jamie and her daughter, even as Jamie struggles to make sense of her life now and to facilitate a relationship between her daughter and the girl's father. Not a simple story but a very gratifying one, and one that is worth the time and trouble to read.
Awesome! I like HEA's. But I hate to see a series end. I loved the way Wyatt kept after Jamie, even tho she kept pushing him away, except when they were having sex! Yes, her brothers were protective, but brothers are supposed to be. Another hard to put down story by Sandy Sullivan.
