Emotional Intelligence, more commonly referred to as EQ (emotional quotient) is the ability to be aware of one's own emotions and those of other people. More and more companies are using EQ tests to vet job applicants and assess staff. Test Your EQ is for anyone facing such a test. It helps job candidates think about various aspects of their personalities, identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Each test covers a different personality trait followed by an analysis and assessment. Candidates will be able to prepare for the real tests, develop their potential, build on their strengths, and improve on areas of weakness

After a superficial introduction to the concept of emotional intelligence, the author shifts his focus to personality tests, never to return to his original thesis. In fact, emotional intelligence is more of an aptitude than a trait, but that doesn't stop Carter from laying out 22 tests of personality traits, ranging across extraversion, laterality, thrift, toughmindedness, etc. Few of these have anything to do with emotional intelligence, and they betray a book that was most likely written under another title and then repackaged. The icing on the cake is that the tests aren't only off topic, they aren't even very good. This is quite possibly the worst pop psychology book I've ever stumbled across, and that's saying something!

Awful. The quizzes are unscientific and not related to emotional intelligence, and the editing is terrible. As an example, here is one of the questions, errors and all:
4. Do you find it easy to contribute to open discussions at large gatherings and meetings?
A. No, I usually tend to bt and leave the gboup ds to others
B Yes
C I don't find it easy but do contribute from time to time
You're better off doing quizzes on Buzzfeed or a similar website -- they're not any less accurate, and they're probably spell-checked.

Confirmed many things about myself which will enable me to identify the important areas of improvement. All tests took about 2 days to complete.
