Good analysis. He uses a lot of interesting survey data that are useful for lecture. and I like his point that both the navy-centered group and the imperial household group, by decoupling themselves from the "militaristic army," reinforced the undeniable guilt and responsibility that the Japanese government has in engaging the war itself.
