I have the 2nd addition and I find it to be a very useful guide to the fishes both native and introduced in the lakes and rivers of Alberta, their description, distribution, biology, angling notes and historical notes. It has the detail that a biologist needs but is easy enough to use that a non-biologist can find what they need to. Probably the best fish identification guide for Alberta currently available.
