Rate this book
This book tells the saga of two great European families that originate the Costa Doria clan in Brazil. The Genoese Doria family is well-known for its admirals that have repeatedly assaulted Venice in the 14th century, and that have fought for the French during the Hundred Years War. In Brazil they married into the Costa family, whose descendants were landowners, sometimes quite wealthy, and public officials, always very influential until today.
