This book touches on the topic of divorce and a child's feelings and emotions surrounding it. It particularly looks at how the little girl feels and all the mixed emotions when mum introduces a new friend, a man. How she copes with the idea of someone else being in dads place. This would be a helpful book to read with children who might be going through this and need someone else to use the words that they cant use to describe how they are feeling

The book "I Still Love You, Dad" is a realistic fiction book here to guide children when parents aren't living together anymore due to problems they may have had. I really like this book because I have some friends who have went through this exact situation. Laura's dad does not live with her and mother any more and she misses her father dearly. Her mother brings another man to the house and Laura does not like that fact and does everything in her power to get rid of him. In the end she ends up liking him. She comes to the realization that even if her mother and father are not together, her biological father will always be her dad no matter what was to happen with her mother and the new guy.

Another good book in the Side By Side series by Anna De Bodo. This book deals with divorce and the confusing feelings the kids have when mom introduces them to a new friend---a man.
