ANNMARIE KELLY loves empowered women -being one, hanging out with them, and helping women step into and grow their own personal power - in their lives and in their marriages.
Her first two books, Victorious Woman! and Victory by Design, focus on women finding and using their personal power.
In Annmarie's most recent book, The Five-Year Marriage, she's helping women - and the partners who love them - shift the marriage paradigm in their favor. She's the woman who found a better way to be married and now she's sharing it with you.
Growing up in an old-fashioned Italian-Catholic family, Annmarie was a classic "good girl" who was shy, self-conscious & introverted (something most people who know her now can't believe!). She worked hard to become independent and find her empowered self.
In 1985 Annmarie was living in Drexel Hill, PA. She had a decent job and owned her own house. She met Joseph at a Reiki share on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. They dated for a while and then Joseph said he wanted to get married.
At first, Annmarie wasn't interested in marriage - or in giving up her hard-won personal freedom. But Joseph was patiently persistent. That's what led her to come up with the idea for the five-year marriage.
Joseph agreed to go along with Annmarie's odd but innovative idea for a marriage partnership. They were married for the first time on September 24, 1988.
Since then, over thirty years and through six marriages, Annmarie built a successful speaking and training business, SkillBuilder Systems. She also launched The Victorious Woman Project, founded its annual fundraiser, The Girlfriend Gala, became an award-winning author and leader, a sought-after women’s empowerment speaker, and the host of the popular weekly radio show, the Friday Happy Hour with Annmarie Kelly and its Victory Chicks Radio podcast. Also during those years she was a parental caregiver and ushering her mother into the next life. She also helped Joseph do the same for his mother.
Annmarie loves empowered women - being one, hanging out with them, helping women become one...which is what she does in her work and through her books. She is the author of three personal empowerment books: The Five-Year Marriage: Shifting the Marriage Paradigm (2018), Victory by Design: The Mid-Life Woman’s Reinvention Guide (2008), Victorious Woman! Shaping Life’s Challenges into Personal Victories (2005). She is a Literacy Hero nominee, and a past recipient of the ASTDPHL Leadership Award, the International Women’s Day Outstanding Service Award and the President’s Call to Service Award from President Barack Obama.
Annmarie Kelly lives in Chester County Pennsylvania with her spouse, Joseph Eagle. She loves traveling, vacationing in Downeast Maine, dancing - especially ballroom - and spending time with her spouse and her good friends.
Do you remember I today you that I was reading Victorious Woman! by AnnMarie Kelly? This is a book that helps you shape your life's challenges into your very own personal victories. I am so happy to be at the point where I can claim victories over so many of my struggles. Tribute Books Blog Tours has been happy to share with us.
Well today was one of those times I was happy to really dig in. I was helping with Granny M. She has surgery coming up next week so we had to do the pre-register and testing today. That means waiting for several hours while being tossed to and fro from office to office.
These kind of days really do test your patience. Some times we have to remember that while waiting is hard it is a great time to get right inside yourself. I was able to really take in the ideas that Annmarie planted in Victorious Woman! In chapter 9, "Do What You Love" helps me remember that I really do enjoy this blog. It is a place where I can relax and let my true self come out. And there are rewards such as doing reviews (I love reading). When I finally quit worrying will people read what I write and started talking just about what was going on in my life, my blog grew. In other words when I did what I loved here the love was returned. Thanks so to everyone here!
Do you claim Victory over your trials and tribulations? Do you remember that you do triumph, win and grow? And how do you help your spirit grow within? If you wonder if there is more (and there is always more) then maybe you can get a lil guidance with Annmarie.
This book is a self help book for women. There are short stories about various women who have over come their own personal victories. Each of these women have hit their own personal bottom of the barrel. They tell you how they over came those problems and not only survived, made their life even better than ever.
We all have our own struggles and problems. This book gives you the tools to over come them the best you can. At the end of each story there are questions to help you think about what you would do if you were in the same situation.
I personally don't really read self help books very often. This one is very easy to read and beautifully written. If you are in the need of a self help, or self modivation book I highly recommend this one. It really makes you think of what you would do if you were in someone elses shoes for awhile.
