While I was not interested in the at times excessive Writer's thoughts and commentary on the story which made the book drawn out a bit, I understand that this is some sort of a love letter from the writer to the characters and the world in this story but removing the romance from the love letter and leaving only the personal dread of the past makes for a rather painfully filler pages, not a lot though.
With this out of the way
I fell in love with the people, between Ascetic people and Nomadic people their stories speak to me on a deeper level.
The intro to this world through folk tales and songs is such a great way because it is the most authentic and precise and poetic the writer is at while also making the worldbuilding intriguing.
The way the plot moves with the character going while also telling the stories of the other characters which I would say interesting stories to say the least is magnificent.
Not once I thought the actions of the characters were unmotivated or not understandable because the way of life of these characters (Real people in the end) were explained with such a clear affinity to that way of life by the writer that creeped into the words and then into the reader (Me, who also shares that affinity).
