Twist of Fate

Rate this book
Set on the western Plains of the 1700's, Twist of Fate tells of Audelia Simms. Left motherless when an infant, abandoned to sympathetic neighbors by a gold-prospecting father, Audelia as a young girl is stolen by marauding Indians to be adopted and loved by the Indian Chief's wife and later rescued and returned to her white family. Audelia's story is one of survival, of rising above circumstances, of using the experiences of one's life to forge a life of purpose and fulfillment. We can all learn from Audelia that we are not what life makes us but we are what we make of what life gives us.
