This is a fictional story about Georg Roman Fischer. The narrative comprises two parts. Stained Glass opens at a time of chaos in Germany's history and concludes when Fischer migrates to New York City. Part two describes the Artist's Dilemma. After a week-long journey at sea, we learn that Fischer develops a relationship with a fellow passenger, Margherita Listermann, who is the future mother of Roman's son, George. After Margherita abandons the family, Roman finds himself a "man in trouble." The tale of his journey is from the author's imagination and weaves fact and fiction ending in a surprising outcome.
