On the occasion of The First International Sevgi Gonul Byzant,ne Studies Symposium, we take pride in presenting the exhibition Years Brought to Daylight - Marmaray, Metro, Sultanahmet Excavations at the Assos hall of Istanbul Archaelogical Museums between 26 June and 21 December, 2007. Designed with a viev to introducing the public to the historic past of Istanbul, yhe exhibition present the oveable cultural assets unearthed in the course of the archaelogical excavations and test pittings conducted under the auspices of the Directorate of Istanbul Archaelogical Museums in Uskudar, Sirkeci and Yenikapi since 2004 and on the Former Sultanahmet Prison premises since 1997.
