Covers all the fundamentals needed to analyse ancient slag. Although its main focus is metallurgical slags, it also provides an introduction to natural and non-metallurgical slags, as well as suggesting which techniques to use for compositional analysis (SEM, XRF etc.). There is also a guide to reading ternary diagrams, in addition to pictorial examples of copper, lead and iron slag compositions and matrices.
