This was my first Beverly Clark novel that I read. I like it a lot and one thing that stayed with me is that procrastination is not worth the torture especially when we can lose someone we love. Read for yourself and find out.

I figured out who Todd/Derek was right off. Seriously, how does one get a job at a Blind Institute using a fake name. That made no sense. He had sex with the woman and became engaged to her before he told her who he was but he expected her NOT to blow up when she found out. I didn't understand how her friends were trying to get her to accept Derek because he took responsibility for the accident. He was let out on bail, but what criminal action was taken against him. So many unanswered questions and a confusing story. Hated everybody except Augusta. Keep in mind I only read 100 or so pages but I skimmed through another 150 and read the end.

There were so many spelling and editing errors in this book. Great storyline, but the part towards end where she sees eye specialist and miraculously saw with no issues made me not like it.
