4.5 ⭐sPiper Lovelace and Sloan Forrester met at the Chicago airport awaiting a flight to Santa Monica. He tried flirting with her while she was trying to work on her laptop. The flight was canceled until the next morning and the airline got them rooms for the night.

Sloan isn't used to being ignored. Women usually fall all over him. She intrigues him. That night he finds her in the hotel bar being groped by a drunk. Of course he has to step in. They end up in his room having mind blowing sex but she's gone the next morning.

Once more at the airport she ignores him. Even when she's upgraded and seated next to him.

Only on Monday do they realize that she's the new hire and he's her boss. He's sure he's falling in love with her. She's attracted to him but she doesn't sleep with her boss. Or will she?

Misunderstandings abound between them. Now if they can just talk to one another, they may be on their way to their HEA.

A short read with HOT sexy scenes.

Great story getting to know Piper and Sloane. With their flight cancelled the two of them having been acquainted while waiting to board much to Piper’s annoyance. The banter they share though is palpable.They end up holed in an hotel by the airport before their rescheduled flight the next morning. Ending up in his Hotel room for food and drinks , the tipsy Piper placates .After storming out on him she’s chagrined to learn he’s to be her in flight seat partner….The shock she gets when she turns up for her first day at her new job….A lovely story with an happy ending .

Sloan and Piper's story is overflowing with drama and angst. A little over the top at times - IMO. They hook up for a one night stand when they're both stranded at the airport. Neither thought they'd ever see each other again but imagine her shock when the handsome Irishman ends up being her new boss. He wants one more night and one more. Let the games and drama begin. The characters were likable but little weak. A fast moving story that you can easily read in one sitting. I read a free advance copy via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.

This is the first time I’ve read anything by Ava Bailey. This was a quick read that can be read in less than a day.

Both characters were likable and I really enjoyed their chemistry and banter. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was how immature they both were when it came to their mutual misunderstandings.

This short but fun and steamy romance was a delight to read, the main characters Sloan and Piper were written well i did LOL at the way Sloan get Piper to talk to him. if Enemies to lover romance is your thing then this book from AVA is a must read. 4 stars looking forward to more from AVA

This book has a lot of angst, a lot of back and forth bickering, with a FMC with a thick armor. It's an insta-love quick read. I liked the book for the most part. I'm just not a fan of a lot angst.

I am new to Ava Bailey’s books and arc team but I must admit I did quite enjoy this quirky and sometimes witty enemies to lovers story. They have a one night stand when their flights are cancelled with the idea they will never see each other again but fate bites them in the rear and chaos ensues. Sloan was quite a handful and a charming Irish man with the gift of the gab and Piper came across as a rather prickly English rose.this book has charm, bit of steam and Sloan 🔥🥵. My only peeve and why only 4 stars is the fact although set in the US the characters are English and Irish so I would have hoped some of the vocabulary would have corresponded to that. Arse not ass, knickers not panties. That’s just my opinion.
