Like Mrs. Hale's other motoring books, this one is charming, funny and insightful. Hale is a fine writer and her husband's sketches are excellent. You will be surprised at how well you can connect with a woman (an actress by profession) writing in 1915. What a terrible shame that her talented artist-husband Walter died two years later in 1917, thus terminating their auto tours and her engaging series of books.
