While this book only serves as a broad overview to the different levels of ecology in Jackson Hole, I appreciated how efficient it was in getting to its point. There's no superfluous language, nothing included that's not essential. It simply barrels ahead, using as few words as possible to cover the maximum amount of content that could fit in its 90 pages. It also strikes a nice balance between general concepts and specific illustrations (backed up by peer-reviewed studies) of those concepts in action, in Jackson Hole.

Pick this up before you adventurous vacation to Jackson Hole. It will make exploring the park much more interesting as you see all of the intricacies of the natural world that connect to make it such a special place. Your vacation will be so much more delightful with a bit of local knowledge under your belt. Browse through it while sitting on the upper deck of Dornans sipping beer after a long adventure.
