St. Paul is very much based on faith, he substitutes Christ death and resurrections for the law . The law is based on the flesh and human frailty. God is in the law but we are not good enough for it. The law of covenants is replaced with the laws of faith and love of neighbor. Paul abhors the abuse of slaves and woman in Rome. He also works to bring the gentile into the fold he rejects circumcision and food as a means to out group the gentile he wants the jews and gentile to follow the protocols that suit them as long as they follow chirst. He trades breaking of the law with sins of the flesh and law of faith over law of cannon and sect
