Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).

If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.

Nein, ich habe diesen Band, mit dem man jemanden erschlagen kann, nicht wirklich gelesen. Ich habe ihn durchgeblättert, die Fotos von Architektur und Gemälden auf mich wirken lassen, vieles überblättert, mich auf Werke, die ich in Madrid und Toledo sehen werde, konzentriert und nur hier und da die Texte gelesen (z.B. zu Goya oder El Greco). Die Liste der zu besichtigenden Werke im Prado und im Museo Reina Sofia ist dabei leider noch weiter angewachsen und ich bin jetzt schon zerrissen zwischen Vorfreude und dem Gedanken an meine schmerzenden Füße.
