This is about the best team coaching resource I've uncovered. A 200 page hardback cost $65 used on Amazon!

It painted a vivid picture of the role of a team coach and some excellent cues for when you aren't being a coach. The High Impact team assessment makes the book well worth the price in a heartbeat. It is a very practical instrument and they provide tables and examples so it can easily be put in practice. I have recently developed a team survey and I will look and think of their example relative to this. The overall team framework they provide:
-Charting the course
-Preparing to Set Sail
-Sailing the Course

Provides a simple framework and a clear way to manage the structure, attributes, behaviors and results within a team. Very useful tools for assessing the expectations of your customers and for defining the teams performance targets. Also an excellent team opportunity checklist to be used throughout the sailing course phase of team seems to be an excellent method for continuous improvement and for monitoring all dimensions of team success.
