Beyond this Valley is a book about historical events through the eyes of the Kelly men and their friends.

It starts with the adventures of Pat Kelly, his son Jacob, and finally his grandson Josh. Love, adventure and danger, this story has it all. If you like Yellowstone the TV show and the predecessor 1883, this book will be a pleasant surprise.

Set in central Texas it spans 30 years of hardworking and brave men and women. My favorite line ”Their hard ride had been unnecessary, the home guard of cripples, old men, and helpless women had handled the bad men without help and without bloodshed.”

I highly recommend this book.
