Deja, tai knyga ne skaitymui, bet pasidėjimui lentyboje, ir išsitraukiama, kai reikia tiesiog informacijos apie konkretų asmenį. Joje pristatomas visų 265 popiežių (nuo pirmojo, šv. Petro, iki Benediko XVI) gyvenimas, aptariami svarbiausi jų darbai, atskleidžiamos kai kurios bažnytinio pasaulio intrigos. Autorius tikrai yra šio dalyko žinovas, tačiau po 50-ojo popiežiaus aprašymo niekoatsiminti neįmanoma.
