A perfectly happy frog was having a great old time hopping and jumping about. Then a wicked witch cam along and changed him into a handsome prince. The frog is not grateful, but the witch can't remember how to change him back. What will they do?
I love this version of a frog into a prince! The witch was hilarious, and the way the entire thing played out had me giggling the whole way through. I also enjoyed the illustrations. I wish I had happened upon this one when my kids were small. It never ceases to amaze me how often items are added to my to-read list simply by reading one book. This one came onto my radar because I read Geraldine Brooks' latest, Memorial Days, and I became interested in the books her husband read (which I should have discovered long before now). Then I learned that his mother, her mother-in-law, had written some books for the younger set. I am now on the search for these books, most of which are out of print. When I find copies I can afford, I will slowly add all of these newly discovered treasures to my library. There. Are. Just. So. Many. Books. To. Discover.
