I used this book during my Clinical Laboratory Science program. This book is not for beginners to Clinical Microbiology. The book goes into great detail on every microbe presented in the book. Most of the information present you would not see on any test or certification exam.

On the positive side, there are parasites and bacteria presented in this book that most other books do not cover. This book is a keeper as a reference book if you plan to specialize in Micro or work in Clinical Microbiology.
