Marriage as Covenant: Considering God's Design at Creation and the Contemporary Moral Consequences
Marriage as Covenant examines the nature and meaning of marriage as an order of creation. The book questions whether or not there is evidence in Genesis for believing God made marriage to be a covenant relationship; and if so, how does it affect the way one understands moral boundaries surrounding marriage? The book also questions what did God expect of Adam with respect to Eve, and what did he expect of Eve in relation to Adam?

Maybe don't take sexual ethics or marriage advice from John Tarwater!
Where else to go on the subject of Christian Marriage and its theological aspects?
Well I cant recommend taking advice from Wayne Grudem, as despite being both chairman and founder of the Council of Biblical Manhood and Womanhood, he was aged 70+ or so when he finally , finally realised that women who are abused by their husbands should be allowed to divorce those husbands. So again, someone whose lack of moral insight means he should have absolutely zero credibility on the subject, yet is writing books and hugely influential in steering policy and many well-meaning Evangelical folk are following along with the advice without first looking up and evaluating their sources and whether their sources are credible.

Chapter 3 deserves 5 stars, I would recommend this book only for that chapter. It is a great book that summarizes this topic but also adds a personal contribution.
