100 Nudes

Rate this book
No photographic subject has inspired so many different variations as the nude beginning with early engravings and the early naughty postcards.

This fine selection of nudes, with fans, drapes and veils, shows many of them off to advantage.

Although there is a brief introduction that takes the history of nude depiction to the end of the 1940s, most of the examples in this book are from the Edwardian era.

The ladies are featured in a variety of poses with a variety of props such as fans, veils and drapes, many of which hide ... nothing!

The sepia, black and white and occasional hand tinted snaps represent, rather like the cover, a journey through the keyhole of time!
