I read the 2021 edition, but I can't find it right now and can't be bothered to look harder than I already have.

It was fine, very informative, though rather dry.

I actually finished this a while ago but forgot to add it.

My 3rd certification after YMCA and American Red Cross, Ellis & Associates International Lifeguard Training Program (R) is different than the other two, yet not necessarily superior. Each has their own idiosyncrasies. Each has a focus for a particular population and none are wrong. The actual water rescue techniques are not significantly different from those of the Y or ARC. This book does an adequate job of teaching the techniques, written to a population with generally a high school and college reading level.
