When unsuspecting Ryan Archer is thrown into their world, we find that not only are things about to change, but Ryan will have much to do with it.
I really had no particular exposure to the Micronauts, either in toy or comic form, but found this run of comics along with one issue of the original Marvel series at a recent comics box sale, and had heard they were a thing in a Marvel comics history I recently read, so I decided to check them out, starting with that Marvel book, since it was older, so I could get a feel for what the books were like. This book is fairly different, only really having the one character in common with that book (which might have been a bit odd, itself), that being Acroyear. On its own merit, this is a fairly interesting adventure story that hints at, but doesn't really explain the Microverse, and the size difference between Earth, instead focusing on the geopolitical layout of the city we start in, and the prisoners there trying to escape with Ryan, from earth, who is said to be important, and seems to have some sort of intuitive powers. This volume is mostly exposition, and doesn't really get very far in establishing the characters or indicating what the plot might be from here, but is otherwise well rendered and written. I would be willing to give it another volume to see if it got a bit more interesting if it turned up, but I'm not itching to read more, either.
