This book has many great stories from great writers of the Spanish language. I enjoy how this book intertwines the idiomatic expressions from both languages, and gives good insight to even the smallest of differences in between the languages. Not only is this a plus, the stories are told side by side in English and in Spanish, making for the best learning experience. I enjoyed this book a lot, and believe that I learned a lot from it also.

I have read two of the stories to date, 'El Monstruo' and "Desde el tonco de un Ombu.' These stories seem to present the right amount of challenge for a free-reading activity for a Level 3 Spanish student, especially since the English language version is displayed on the facing page to help with any new vocabulary. I found 'El Monstruo' particularly gripping.
