A short overview of the local superstitions, quite interesting, but highly anti-magick. The old beliefs are simplified and ridiculed by the Christian (aka superior?) culture. They are largely based on the stereotypes rather than informed conclusions of the real situation.
If "cleansing" the text from those instances of stereotypical thinking, then it's an interesting short read.

3.5 stars. A good collection, but MAAAAN is MacGregor a judgey, churchy bitch about it.
