Rachael decides that she misses Hunter too much and needs to see him. She has come to terms that things are outta control in her life and therefore she will tell him everything. She sends him a text after discussing the situation with her best friend and says she wants to meet with him. He sends a text back that he will be at at the bookstore after work.
She works around the store waiting for him to show up and when he does he is acting really strangely. He closes up the store even though there is another 1/2 hour left and takes her upstairs to her apartment where he will not let her turn on any lights. He continues to check outside the windows as if looking for someone and then explains that she needs to pack a bag for a couple days and go with him..
He drives her to her mothers house where her mother and Carl are waiting and then waits for one final person. The woman that has been following Rachael and is with the FBI.
Oh my what has she gotten herself into. Now she will have to tell everything about Spike, laundering money and all the problems that Carl caused before he went to jail. What will book five show us.

This book is written in installments and I recommend reading the previous books before this one to fully enjoy the story.
This installment begins immediately following the previous one. Rachel is taken aback - and is pretty irritated - that her mom invited Rachel's former husband Carl to town. He tries to explain to Rachel that he was in jail for the last 2 years and didn't run out on her, but Rachel has no intentions reconciling with him.
To her displeasure, Spike is determined she help clean his money to pay off Carl's debts and she doesn't see how to avoid doing that.
As she, Hunter and Gabby spend a night out, Rachel has yet another encounter from her past...
This book does not have a resolution and ends on a cliffhanger.

A suspenseful but sweet romance that leaves you on the edge of your seat.
Rachel has to figure out how to solve a problem that's haunting her from her past, while hanging on to a relationship that means everything.
I honestly can't get enough of this book. It's kept me glued to the pages, waiting, holding my breath to see what happens next.
I loved meeting Gabby. She is sweet, funny, charming, and everything you expect a seven year old to be.
I can't wait to see what happens next to Rachel, and especially who on earth Lisa is.
I recommend this book for anyone looking of a thrilling page Turner that has a sweet romance and good laughs.

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a complimentary copy. Rachel's life just keeps getting more complicated at every turn: Spike showed up first, then Lisa now her ex Carl with her mother's help. Carl told her why he disappeared but she is not giving him the time of day because of what he did and the mess he has left her in. Spike shows up at her store giving her money to launder. Her life is a mess. The only bright spots are her store, Hunter and Gabby. Rachel thinks if she asks Hunter for help she will lose him so she keeps her secrets. The noose is getter tighter as her past is closing in fast. Will Rachel tell Hunter?

This book had a lot happening for Rachel. Her past has caught up with her and is wreaking havoc in her life and not to mention her mum interfering and bringing her ex husband back and hoping Rachel and Carl would reconcile. When it appears that things are not going very well Hunter invites Rachel to celebrate his daughter’s birthday and they all have a great night. Only Rachel’s past, in the form of Lisa, makes an appearance and drops a massive bomb on her. What will happen and how will Rachel react? Cannot wait for the next book. Getting very, very good.

I enjoyed the first three books in the series but in the fourth book Rachel is starting to annoy me. She gets upset with Hunter in the last book because he didn't reveal his truth. She doesn't have the right to be upset with him when she has secrets of her own. His truth is nothing compared to her's.Those who read the last book knows what I'm talking about. But she does the very same thing in this book( not telling Hunter who Carl is ), what a hypocrite. She doesn't stop to think she could put Hunter, Gabby, and Alice in danger. But I do enjoy the story enough to continue. I hope in the next book Rachel is more thoughtful when comes to the people in her life.

Rachel is stunned to see Carl and why is he so chummy with her mom. She is beyond angry. She is trying to start over but her past is coming back to haunt her. Spike is expecting her to do his dirty work. When she get to spend time with Hunter and his daughter Gabi, someone unexpected pops up. Lisa wants answers but the real question is why does she want to know this information. I really love how each book leaves with more questions.

Rachel’s tale continues and although the book shop is doing well everything else seems to get more and more complicated! We find out where the ex husband has been for the past two years but Rachel doesn’t care and wants nothing to do with him especially with spike still on the scene demanding she pay off carls debt! Can she trust Hunter enough so that he helps her? Will he want to help her after discovering her secrets? It’s getting more and more twisted and wound until I’m sure it will all go BANG! Looking forward to the fifth instalment!

Rachel starts to spend more time with Hunter and even though she has a suspicion she is being watched, things are starting to good for her. She is invited to celebrate Hunter's daughters birthday with her and things are going great until a woman she isn't happy to see turns up. Will Rachel finally find out what this woman wants from her.

Exciting opener for this book, Rachel's mother surprised her when she at her mother's home. Rachel's ex- husband, Carl, was there waiting for her. Rachel was extremely upset seeing him there after being gone for two years. What else can go wrong? The bookstore is doing quite well, she and Sheriff Hunter are getting along nicely. However there are more not so nice surprises in store for her.

Talk about suspense. Spike comes into the bookshop! Carl shows up at her mother's! Lisa shows up at the birthday party. And not one of them make Rachel smile! Hunter and his daughter make her smile. Where is it all going to lead.

Rachel is trying to move on. Not an easy thing. First her ex shows up, then Spike and lastly Lisa appears once again. Tension is building and her fears that Hunter will discover her secrets are getting closer. It's another great addition to the series and once again left me with wanting more.

I am really enjoying this series. Rachel seems to be moving forward with her life but can't seem to catch a break. There is romance, suspense and mystery all in one. These books are quick, easy reads but with a great storyline that flows smoothly from book to book. The series is definitely worth the read.

The story grabs you but separately they are not a book. Add the six together & you will have only one book. I’m getting ready to read number 5 & I didn’t start reading the first one until today. I am really enjoying this series. This keeps you on your toes with surprises and unexpected things happening. We also keep learning more about Rachel’s family and friends. She has a great friend in Hunter. Then there is Lisa, what the heck is she all about. Looking forward to the next book.
