An in-depth and engaging compilation of personal accounts from Chicago's Bravest. From a female firefighter training to join the ranks of a male-dominated profession, to harrowing tales of courage and sacrifice as told by some of America's toughest and battle-hardened firefighters.

If you're a fan of the NBC Drama "Chicago Fire" then this book is for you!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was very interesting to me to see what actually happens on the job and in the lives of firefighters. It is a collection of many short stories. I liked this. They were about different individuals in different towns handling unique situations. Instead of cover to cover the same story, you got something new every couple of pages. I thought this book was inspirational and exciting.
