The section on resume building and interview taking was helpful. Nothing that I hadn't heard before, but it reiterated it, and offered a few new suggestions for my resume. For me the math section was a bit useless, as it was very basic and I'd recently taken calculus courses in university. But for anyone that hasn't taken math classes recently, it's definitely a good brush-up, and gives lots of examples and practice questions. I have yet to do the practice test, but after taking a quick glimpse through it, it looks like it will be very helpful.
I'll update with how I did on the actual testing when I get it done!
I found this guide very close to the police examination that I attempted (Alberta). I am still in the application process however I did not find the written exam difficult; I believe this guide deserves substantial credit for that. Study this book and only do the practice exams when you feel that you have each section down pat.
