I found the information about Woodson's life very interesting, but didn't care for Hinton-Johnson's writing style, specifically, the way she did her quotes. I also didn't like the "FYI" inserts, information that was related to something said about Woodson but which wasn't about Woodson at all (eg., a page of biographical info on Spike Lee). I still like the Meet the Author series, published by R.C. Owen, best of all the series of book about children's author.s
